Elope in Sedona: Best Reasons to Pick Sedona
Saaty Photography: Why You Should Elope in Sedona. Choosing where you want to elope can be stressful. There are so many good options if you want it to be in Arizona! One place always comes to mind when people ask me, Sedona. It is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Arizona, and that is saying something because there are quite a few. The red rocks are so unique and absolutely stunning, I can’t think of a better place to elope. Sedona is also known to be an energy vortex that is conducive to self healing and people say they feel inspired and recharged after visiting. Eloping in Sedona is very simple and the weather is much better than Phoenix! If you’re looking for the perfect place to elope, Sedona might be it.

Scenery
People travel from all over the world to visit Sedona and we are lucky enough to live in the same state as it! The vortex is something that is so enticing people will travel crazy distances to visit it. Different places in Sedona have different flows of energy. There is upflow, inflow, or a combination of both. Upflow spots are found at high up places like mountain tops or scenic overlooks. The energy flows upwards from the earth and creates positive and uplifting sensations. Inflow spots are typically in canyons or caves, low lying areas. The energy travels inwards toward the earth and has a strong calming effect. Inflow spots are a great place for meditation. Depending on what you want more, one of these flows would be an impeccable spot to elope.
Permits
If you were to elope at any of the national parks in Arizona you would need to obtain a permit, but the nice thing about Sedona is that as long as you have under 75 guests there are no permits necessary! This makes planning your elopement less stressful which I know is what anyone planning a wedding is looking for. There are also so many great locations in Sedona to elope at. Some of my favorites are Cathedral Rock, Red Rock Crossing, and Munds Wagon Trail. Sedona is filled with stunning scenery so no matter where you pick, it will turn out amazing.

Seasons
Sedona also happens to have amazing weather all year round. It does get hot in the summer months but with a yearly average temperature of 75 degrees fahrenheit it’s a much better option than Phoenix. If you want a winter wedding without too much snow it is also a better option than Flagstaff! It does get some light snow every once in a while but with the average high temperature in the 60’s during winter months it is a beautiful place to elope without freezing your butt off! Sedona also happens to be right in between Phoenix and Flagstaff so no matter where guests may be coming from, the commute isn’t bad at all!
