While every bride or groom has their own unique day (and their own set of necessities for it), there are a handful of items that every couple should be sure to pack to make the ceremony, reception, and getting-ready process as seamless as possible.
Wedding Day Checklist for Couples
Bride(s):
- Your dress (of course!)
- Undergarments
- Shoes, jewelry, veil, and any other accessories essential to your dream look
- Clothes or a robe to wear while getting ready
- Comfy shoes to give your feet a rest
- Heel protectors or insoles for your ceremony shoes
- Extra makeup and bobby pins for reapplication and touch-ups
- Stain-removal stick
- Extra brush or comb
- Feminine products
Groom(s):
- Suit jacket, shirt, and pants
- Vest and/or suspenders if you’ll be wearing them
- Tie
- Belt
- Shoes and socks
- Undergarments
- Cufflinks, tie clip, handkerchief, boutonniere, or any other accessories to tie your outfit together
- An outfit to get ready in
- Extra brush or comb
Ceremony:
- Wedding bands
- Programs
- Marriage license
- A copy of your vows
- Any ceremonial, religious, or sentimental items or decorations
Reception:
- Seating chart and table numbers
- Guest book and something to write in it with
- Cake topper
- Any personalized items or favors
- Contact information for vendors
Other:
- A list of any specific photos you will want your photographer to take (people, activities, items, etc.)
- You’ll want to discuss these specific items beforehand with your photographer.
- Gifts for parents, wedding party, your future spouse, etc.
- Welcome bags for out-of-town guests, if desired
- An emergency sewing kit
- Tissues
- Umbrella
- Small first aid kit
- Breath mints
- Water and snacks while you’re getting ready
