Top 5 Sedona Activities for Your Visit
Saaty Photography: Top 5 Sedona Activities for Your Visit. When you are traveling through Northern Arizona and don’t have Sedona on your list – you are missing out! Known for its red rocks and movie history, Sedona has one of the most stunning views in the area. There are tons of different things to see and do. Visiting such a popular place can become stressful quickly. There is never enough time to check out everything . To help plan your visit I have put together the Top 5 Best Sedona Activities in my opinion.
#1 Hiking
Sedona has to offer some of the most scenic hiking trails in Arizona – and they are suitable for all. There are trails for all hiking levels – beginner, intermediate or advanced – and they have a variety of durations from under an hour to multiple. A few known trails are Cathedral Rock, Devils Bridge, Soldiers Pass and Boynton Canyon. The views of the famous red rock formations are unforgettable. Whatever you choose – just make sure to be prepared. Do a little research about your chosen path before you explore. The app AllTrails is a great way to get important information and details about level, duration and direction of the different trails.

#2 Hot Air Balloon Tour
Not afraid of heights? Great! A Hot Air Balloon Tour over the Red Rocks is an experience you will not forget. While exploring the Sedona area from the ground is beautiful itself, seeing this landscape from above and beyond will take your breath away. Enjoy the sunrise with all its colors while floating through the air. Spot wildlife in the early hours and see aspects of the area you would otherwise miss.

#3 Star Gazing
While Sedona is touristy, it still has the feel of a small city. With not much light pollution and its vast nature, it is the perfect location for stargazing. When night falls and the world seems to quiet, the stars shine bright in the sky. There are many spots to be alone and enjoy the constellations – maybe you will even catch a shooting star! You can observe the night sky alone or book a stargazing tour. If you are interested in the wonders of the universe, maybe a UFO sighting tour is a fun experience for you too!

#4 Wine Tasting
If you love wine and enjoy trying something new, a wine tasting afternoon is a wonderful idea! Whether you are visiting alone, with a partner, your friends or family, this activity will always be a great fit. You can book wine tastings in multiple small businesses in Sedona like The Art of Wine in Uptown where you can enjoy products from all over the world. Or if you have time to spare for more than a couple of hours, visit the region’s top vineyards with an organized tour!

#5 Portrait Session
While you are already here – don´t forget to capture your trip with a photoshoot! Sedona has some of the most beautiful locations. The background is always absolutely stunning and adds something majestic to the resulting image. Your visit to Sedona will be memorable no matter what, but with a photo session you will be able to look back on it with more detail!

#6 Bonus Tip: Spa Day!
In case you are staying for more than a couple of days and have had enough of hiking and exploring the area, a relaxed Spa Day is the perfect idea! Regenerate and be pampered, you deserve it! Whether you enjoy a massage, a cosmetic treatment or some yoga – Sedona has it all.

As a Northern Arizona Resident, I have visited this beautiful town quite a bit and have come to love it! Sedona is such a special place and offers so many great things. Plus, it is the perfect location for photoshoots – all year around! I would love to become your Sedona Photographer.
