My View: Hiring Your Sedona Wedding Florist
What to Look for When Hiring Your Sedona Wedding Florist: So, your big day is coming up and you are starting to plan each and every detail – including your floral arrangements! You don’t know where to start. No worries, I have some awesome tips to help you find the perfect florist for your beautiful day.
Have your style in mind.
When looking for a florist for your wedding day, make sure you are on the lookout for someone who showcases your style the best. Are you more of an extravagant, tall, floral centerpiece type of person? Or are you more of a simple modern centerpiece type of person? Do you want bright and unique flowers present at the wedding? Or would you like soft and sweet flower arrangements? Having your set style in mind will make the process a lot easier.
Look for inspiration.
It can be hard figuring out your style if you haven’t had any previous thought about it. Look for inspiration on Pinterest or Instagram to get an idea of what you are looking for. I recommend looking at wedding photographer’s pages to see what their past clients have had at their weddings. Bring photos of your inspirations as well as ideas of your bridesmaid dresses and your wedding dress to help the florist see your vision. Finding inspiration is to help you make what you love your own.
Create a budget.
Your budget comes down to what you envision on your wedding day. Flowers and décor should be roughly 10 percent of your total wedding budget, but could potentially be more due to what you want at your wedding. If you want peonies or lilies, expect to bump up your budget a bit.
Meet with the florist.
It is important to meet the people you’ll potentially hire in person. This allows you to see their work in person and get a feel of who they are as a florist. This will help you narrow down what florist is able to meet your needs and perfectly display your vision.
View each proposal.
After meeting with each florist, ask them to create a detailed proposal for your big day. The proposal should include what you discussed as your vision and budget. This is what will really help narrow down what florist you choose for one of the most important days of your life!
Pick your florist.
Once you have gone through and reviewed each proposal, decide which florist is the best match for your wedding day. Reach out to them and discuss any concerns about the cost or certain parts of the proposal. Once you an your florist come to a complete agreement, sign the formal contract, and you’re done!
Finding the perfect florist may take some work, but it will all be worth it when you are surrounded by beautiful flowers on your magical day.
