What To Save On And When You Get What You Pay For
Sedona Wedding Budget Guide. I’m just going to say it. Weddings are expensive, and sometimes sacrifices need to be made for the sake of our wallets. I get it – I’ve been in your shoes! However, there is a time to splurge and there are definitely areas to save. The key is knowing when and where to save, and when you get what you pay for.
Sedona Wedding Budget Guide: Ways to Save
DIY
Do it yourself. This is one of the best ways to save money at a wedding. Sometimes, you’ll be paying in other ways, like with your time and effort. Great things to DIY are centerpieces, simple decorations, and games for the reception. Pinterest is your best friend! There are so many ideas that are easy to create and cost effective but look clean, elegant, and beautiful.
Timeline
Time is money! If you’re trying to save money, you can slim down your timeline. By shortening the length of your wedding, you will need vendors for less time and that will reduce the bottom line across the board.
Guest list
This can be a hard one, because narrowing down who you want at your wedding can feel hurtful. It is easy to want to invite so many friends and family. But the reality is that it is not always possible to do that. If you’re trying to save money, I highly suggest planning for a smaller wedding. It will be less stressful and narrow costs in multiple ways.

Music
A great DJ is key to getting everyone down on the dance floor with a quality sound system and lights. They will get guests involved and help keep the night on track. If you want to be hands on with the music, give the DJ a list and communicate the order and timing. I don’t suggest skimping on your DJ, because it is such a key aspect of the night.
Photography/Videography
One of the few things you get to take with you after your wedding day is over are the photographs. Photos are memories that will last forever, frozen in time. You cant go back and relive those moments, so it is really important that you have a reliable, capable, experienced photographer. Chances are, they will be expensive. But if you pay less, you will notice the difference.
If you do want to save with your photographer, maybe choose a smaller package with less event coverage, if they offer that and if certain parts of the night aren’t as important to you. At the end of the day, you will be glad you paid for the best photographer. When you look at photos, you will be brought right back to that magical day and you’ll be so thankful you had a photographer who was able to capture those memories for you.
