Barbara and Jorge: Sedona Arizona Elopement Photographer
Sedona Arizona Elopement Photographer: Barbara and Jorge’s Intimate Evening Ceremony. I truly had an amazing time meeting and photographing Barbara and Jorge. This adventurous couple flew in from New Jersey to commit among the red rocks.
We hiked up to a vortex and watched the sun set. Surrounded by Mother Nature, Barbara and Jorge vowed their love to one another. It was a beautiful way to celebrate their 15 years together. I was especially touched by their rose ceremony. The couple decided to honor their mothers with the two white roses. They left these roses a top of the mountain to honor their mothers’ sprits.
I always love when couples decided to ditch the traditional wedding for an elopement. I think that is a wonderful way to begin a life together. This private ceremony served as a beautiful symbol of Barbara and Jorge’s commitment. I was honored to be a part of their special day.
I love being able to blend the grandeur landscapes with the intimate relationships of my clients. Because of this, I believe I have the best job in the world and am continually thankful to the amazing clients who explore with me!
About The Location: Cathedral Rock Vortex
Cathedral Rock lies at the edge of a group of isolated red buttes on the south side of Sedona. A vortex is a place, usually on or near an interesting rock formation, where people have reported feeling inspired by a beneficial source of energy.
A vortex, if you’re given to this sort of perspective, is a swirling concentration of energy emanating from the earth that can have any number of attributes, depending on what kind of vortex it is and who you talk to. Some categorize vortexes (or vortices, whatever floats your boat) as male, female or balanced, and claim that their energy can affect the human consciousness and even one’s physical body. If you’re skeptical, that’s okay – looking for vortexes is still a fun excuse for a hike.
