Saaty Photography: Company Background
Company Background: the sunset chasing, light-loving, dog-momming, travel obsessing, memory-preserving, go-with-the-flow kind of photographer.
I have been playing with camera since I was a child. I used to steal my parents’ camera and use entire rolls of film to photograph my Barbies. My parents weren’t thrilled then, but looking back – it explains where my long-long obsession began. In high-school, I was gifted my mom’s 35mm Minolta. Instantly, I felt more drawn to explore the natural world. I began experimenting in high-school, because I loved shooting landscapes. I have always felt at peace while spending time outdoors. Most of my evenings as a teenager were spent exploring the rich desert landscapes that surrounded my childhood home.
As my photographic journey continued to progress, I found myself continually observing the sun – enjoying the way the light was shaped throughout the days and seasons. I still feel in awe of way the golden light paints the horizon each morning and night. I still find that this warm, rich, golden light helps to shape the way I capture my subjects.
A few years after I began shooting, I decided to move up from the low desert to the high desert. My shift to a 7000-foot elevation was incredible. And with it – four beautiful seasons, kind-hearted humans, and experienced mentors. Nestled at the base of the San Francisco Peaks right between Sedona and the Grand Canyon – I found myself deeply in love with Northern Arizona.
Company Background: Northern Arizona
This historic university was a wonderful place to experience higher education. During my time at Northern Arizona University, I obtained a Bachelor’s in Photography and Visual Communication, accompanied by a Master’s in Career and Technical Education. Now, I am out of the desk and in front of the classroom – where I Lecture in Photography and Visual Communication. I firmly believe in the power of education and believe that as a teacher I am really just a life-long student. Working with students brings me a sense of purpose and provides joy. Teaching truly compliments my freelance business, as my students often serve as a source of inspiration.
Living in a gorgeous mountain town, I naturally began spending more time outdoors with friends and family. As my friendships, photographic knowledge, and lust for travel grew – I searched for a way to combine my love of connecting with like-minded humans and my love for exploring landscapes. On-location portraiture has allowed me to do this. Now, I focus on combining the grandeur of these landscapes with the intimate relationships of my clients. Clients who so often turn from stranger to life-long friends in a matter of hours.
Saaty Photography: The Golden Rule
My portfolio reflects the incredible decade I’ve spend making new friends and chasing sunsets. It’s my life that is truly beautiful and my camera simply allows me to share it with the world.
During my daily interactions with clients, I always circle back to one thing – the golden rule. I treat you the way I would want to be treated as a client. The respect is mutual. I believe in being a transparent business owner and providing your with much more than just a service, because I provide an experience. When you give your clients the love they deserve, you walk away feeling like a member of the family. This feeling is what motivates me to grow my business and travel far to ensure their wildest photography dreams come true!
