Jessie and Jonah: Prescott Arizona Engagement and Wedding Photographer

Prescott Arizona Engagement and Wedding Photographer: Jessie and Jonah’s Summer Session. Engagement stories are the best because they are typically unique and always very special to the ones involved. Aside from “How did you two meet?,” “How did he propose?” is one of the most popular questions newly engaged couples hear. But who’s complaining? It’s a fun story to hear, and tell… and then re-tell again… because more than likely you and your fiancé will be sharing this lovely memory for years to come.

Jessie told me that: “We first met in junior high. I was best friends with his little sister. We reconnected in high school at when we were both leaders at a church camp for junior high students and became best friends throughout the remainder of our high school years. And when I say best friends, I mean it!

We would do everything together. While we were friends, we unknowingly took turns having crushes on the other, and I always dreamed of one day marrying him but never thought he liked me or would ever want to date me. (He is a year older and in high school, that was a big deal for me!) During my freshman year of college, Jonah finally asked me out and we began dating.

Almost right away at the beginning of our dating relationship we knew we would get married and even made a joke about our future children the first day we were official.”

I had so much fun working with this couple. Being a photographer, I love being able to blend the grandeur landscapes with the intimate relationships of my clients. I believe I have the best job in the world and am continually thankful to the amazing clients who explore with me!

About The Location: Watson Lake

Located just 4 miles from Prescott, this beautiful lake is an oasis when you are looking to escape the desert heat. This bright blue lake is surrounded by granite boulders and hiking trails. There are many small reservoirs in the hills of central Arizona, but Watson Lake is perhaps the most unusual and photogenic. Contrasting with the blue-grey waters and the brownish rocks are the emerald green leaves of aspen trees, found scattered amongst the boulders.

Words can not express how thankful and happy we are that we chose Monica to capture our perfect day. She made us feel both comfortable and confident in the whole process. She has this ease that makes you feel you’ve known her for years. Her kindness, personality, and professionalism was beyond what we could have hoped for. Her communication and organization was so impressive as well (I am far from organized)! Our photos are AMAZING, they are perfect. We wish we could do it all over again, and again. Seriously, book her right now! Best choice we could have made, and she helped make our day so wonderfully memorable and way less stressful.
