Having a destination elopement is truly one of the most magical things, especially when it is in Sedona, Arizona. Located just 120 miles north of Phoenix, this Northern Arizona city will impress you with its iconic red rock formations, creeks, and beautiful trails. Everywhere you look is picturesque, and there are so many spots for your intimate ceremony to be held. Crescent Moon site is one of my favorites when it comes to intimate weddings in Sedona. Not only will you have the most amazing backdrop of cathedral rock for your ceremony, but the walk to get here is not strenuous at all! Just imagine the two of you standing below an intricate red rock formation saying your vows. Doesn’t that just sound like something out of a movie scene?
The destination of your elopement is an important factor when it comes to your big day. Yet, before you decide on a date, you must take the weather and seasons of Sedona into account. The spring and summer months in Sedona brings warmer weather and more greenery. However, once schools get out of session, locations in Sedona tend to become more crowded. As for the fall months, the weather will cool off a bit, and you will be able to see the incredible fall foliage. In the winter months, temperatures can drop even more, and you might get the occasional snowfall! In the end, the time of year you want to get married is all up to you! Once you determine the place and time of your elopement, it is time to hire a professional photographer to capture your special day, figure out how to get your marriage license and decide who you want to be your witnesses.
