Arizona Snowbowl Wedding: Emma and Joe’s Summer Destination Wedding. Emma shared a little about their love story… “We followed each other on Twitter at some point and neither of us really remember how or why. After following each other for about a year Joe sent me a message because he was about to take a road trip from Phoenix to Ohio and he was going through Iowa. He knew I was from Iowa because of my Twitter bio so he asked me for recommendations of stuff to do there. That got us chatting and then we just kind of started talking and video chatting every day and we became really good friends. Flash forward a few months: I was about to go on a study abroad trip to Costa Rica. I realized that my layover from Costa Rica back to Iowa was 8 hours in Phoenix where Joe was living. So we decided to meet up. Flash forward again, my flight landed in Phoenix and Joe picked me up. We went out to lunch in Tortilla Flat and Joe picked me wildflowers. And that was pretty much that. He started flying to Iowa a lot to see me and then moved to Chicago for law school and we just kept doing the long distance thing for 3 years until we were both done with school. Now we’re pretty much inseparable!”
