Plus, why save the honeymoon just for yourself? Bring along your guests and they will never forget your wedding either! It is true, since the expense of getting to a destination wedding is more, there will most likely be people on your guest list who can’t make it. Though some people love large weddings and want to budget for that, for others, having a large wedding feels like more of an obligation than a want. A destination wedding is a way you can slim down your guest list a lot, but the people closest to you will be glad to make the trip and will make the wedding extra special.

For nearly 30 years, Thornager’s and its owner Karen Sorensen have been synonymous with great food and entertaining in Flagstaff. The company began as a deli in 1988, and Karen steadily grew the business into a full-service restaurant and catering operation, all the while dreaming of a special events venue altogether different than the hotels in town could offer.
In 2002, she fulfilled that dream with the purchase of a clubhouse in scenic, wooded Equestrian Estates. Thornager’s on Kiltie Lane is a charming and secluded, yet readily accessible, setting for weddings, banquets, and other special events of all kinds. One of Karen’s passions is the continued improvement of the facility into an ever more beautiful and welcoming place.
She has assembled an extensive, experienced staff to support a wide range of client requests. From artistic food creations and tabletops with flare to bartending unique beverages, Karen and our staff make your event memorable!
