COVID-19 and Graduation: Portraits to Commemorate Your Accomplishments

Portraits to Commemorate Your Accomplishments: COVID-19 and Graduation. Your accomplishments are still worth celebrating! We are living in a totally unprecedented time right now with businesses and national parks closing and the world going into lockdown. Nothing seems to be making any sense these days and this couldn’t be more true than for the Class of 2020. The year had passed the halfway point and things were looking up, the end was inching closer and with it all of the incredible last moments were coming with it as well. From parties, to going to the creek with friends as the weather was warming up, to road trips with your friends with so many hikes and trails to explore before the year was up.

And then, in a blink of an eye everything changed. Spring Break brought on the beginning of quarantine and what started off as a two week period quickly turned into the rest of the year. Classes transitioned to being fully online and your social interaction was squashed except in the form of Zoom calls. Everything seems to be getting ripped out from under your feet with every step you take and all of those last lasting memories you thought you would be making with your friends are suddenly gone. However, this doesn’t make your accomplishments any less important or worth celebrating.

Your accomplishments are still worth celebrating!

While this might not have been the end to your senior year that you were expecting, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t celebrate all that you accomplished in the last four years. Many seniors may have been putting off getting senior pictures taken because they figured the few images their mom got on their cellphone might be enough at graduation, but now with commencement cancelled that’s no longer an option. But this doesn’t have to be the end. You can have your own celebration and still commemorate the moment and all that you have achieved during your senior photo session. You can bring whatever you want to make it fun and special, from confetti to champagne the sky is the limit in how you want to make your photo session uniquely you and make one final memory at the place you have spent most, if not all, of your time these last four years.

You are graduating at a time when the country is in economic turmoil and everything about the future seems even more uncertain than it might have already. The direction and path you thought you were taking after graduation may be put on hold, or you may need to be changing it all together, but the one thing that this pandemic cannot take away from you is that you did it. You pushed through all of the late nights and endless homework assignments and you succeeded in graduating with your degree. While you might not be walking across the stage it doesn’t make it any less real and you deserve to celebrate in whatever capacity you can and preserve these moments and these memories for you to look back on in the years to come and be proud of yourself. Here is to you Class of 2020, you are stronger than you know and that is something to be celebrated.

COVID-19 and Graduation: Session Information

To all the seniors… you have worked SO hard during the last 4+ years. Instead of going to prom or planning a senior class prank, students are at home because of COVID-19. Instead of getting ready to don a cap and gown and graduate, they’re left wondering if that graduation ceremony is even going to happen. My heart is with each and every one of you. However, your accomplishments still deserve to be celebrated! We may need to be creative, and the timeline may be summer, but you should have something! That is why I am offering these exclusive senior and graduation photography mini-sessions through July 31st, 2020.

The time has come, before you knew it four years has gone by in the blink of an eye and it is time to prepare for graduation and transitioning into your next phase of life. This is a huge accomplishment and should be celebrated! Years down the road this time in life will be but a memory and getting your pictures taken is a great way to be able to look back on this time and reminisce on all of those sleepless nights, countless tests, and incredible memories that makes this part of your life so special.

Words can not express how thankful and happy we are that we chose Monica to capture our perfect day. She made us feel both comfortable and confident in the whole process. She has this ease that makes you feel you’ve known her for years. Her kindness, personality, and professionalism was beyond what we could have hoped for. Her communication and organization was so impressive as well (I am far from organized)! Our photos are AMAZING, they are perfect. We wish we could do it all over again, and again. Seriously, book her right now! Best choice we could have made, and she helped make our day so wonderfully memorable and way less stressful.
