Choosing Your Arizona Wedding Colors
Choosing Your Arizona Wedding Colors: One of the First Choices You Will Make! Wedding colors are one of the first choices you will need to make when planning your wedding. So many other decisions you’ll make will revolve around your color scheme and it will help everything look cohesive and tied together. Since colors are so important, it is a bit overwhelming and daunting to decide what you’ll choose. Pinterest can be a good place to start, but it can be limiting. To help you with the process, I have a few fun and creative ways to choose colors that go beyond pinterest!
Pantone of the Year
If you love graphic design like I do, you might know what Pantone is. They’re a company that has created a standard color identification system that helps create consistency across digital, print, and textile colors. You can get lost on their website looking at endless swatches and playing with different color schemes. Just for fun, Pantone rolls out a Pantone of the year, where they feature– you guessed it– a color every year! This can be a creative and fun place to at least start your brainstorming!
Coolors.co
Coolors.co is one of my absolutely favorite websites. It is a free online color scheme generator. Click the space bar to bring up 5 random colors. Each color combination goes together, and each color scheme is different from the next. If you come across a color or multiple that you like, you can click the lock button to keep those colors in place before toggling with the space bar to change the remaining colors. Repeat this process until you find some colors you like. The website even provides hex codes (a universal six digit code) so you can identify the color with a graphic designer or printer as they help make your invitations, menu, and more! It is a great way to open your mind to colors you may not have thought of before!
Go to the Paint Store
Another fun way to play with color is to go to a paint store and pair swatches as if you were picking colors for your home. There is something to be said about a physical, tactile swatch that you can hold onto or place next to other swatches. You can re-arrange them and test different combinations. Another perk– you can take the swatches home with you and see how they match ribbons, flowers, and so much more!
