Best Tucson Arizona Engagement Photographer: Desiree and Stephen. It was such a pleasure meeting and photographing these two lovebirds during their recent engagement in Tucson’s Barrio Viejo. Our session was full of laughter and love – congratulations to you both!

I am so lucky to live in an area with endless opportunities to explore. As a wedding and portrait photographer in Flagstaff, it makes it super easy to find the perfect photo location. Only a few hours driving in any given direction can provide absolutely breathtaking scenery that makes for the best photo sessions. When couples ask if I travel or am willing to go somewhere more rugged and remote for their session, my answer is always yes! The options are endless in the southwest and I am so excited to explore more of them with adventurous couples that want something unique for their photo session!

Gates Pass: The Location

Gates Pass is a mountain pass along the crest of the Tucson Mountains. The road through the pass is a scenic route west of Tucson, Arizona. The road from the east is West Anklam Road which merges with West Speedway Boulevard in the city just east of North Camino De Oeste. West of the pass the road is known as Saguaro Road and continues until it reaches Kinney Road just north of Old Tucson.

Wow wow wow, I am SO GLAD that we chose Monica as our wedding / elopement photographer! You might as well stop your search for a photographer now because Monica is the absolute best! I cannot imagine a better photographer for our wedding day. We absolutely LOVE our photos!
When searching for a photographer, I wanted someone who could capture our love, our unique personalities, and the absolute majesty of the Sedona red rocks. Monica did that perfectly!
As soon as we spoke with Monica on the phone for a consultation, my husband and I felt at ease. She was friendly and easy to talk to. We trusted her right away. She was able to engage my husband in conversation – which was a big deal to me because he just didn’t feel he had much to say when we spoke with other vendors. She got him excited about the process.
Monica helped us with so many of the logistics. As an out-of-state bride, I had a bunch of questions about planning our Sedona elopement. Monica helped us choose THE PERFECT location and gave us helpful information to help us prepare. She guided us before our wedding day and on our wedding day (while making sure that our wedding wishes were fully taken into account).
I got the impression that Monica is extremely organized and was amazed at how quickly she responded to my emails (and always in a thoughtful, friendly way). She gave us a few different PDF guides for different aspects of our wedding planning, which were really helpful.
On the day of our wedding, Monica put us at ease. She guided us through different poses and shots. She kept track of what shots we wanted and she offered friendly direction. We felt totally comfortable in front of the camera with her. She also worked extremely well with our videographer. Monica brought such a cheerful, confident, upbeat, and peaceful presence to our wedding — which really helped me feel supported and relaxed as a bride.
I was amazed at how quickly we received our wedding photos. We absolutely adore our photos! We will cherish them for years to come!
Monica has such an eye for photography. She captured the special moments on our wedding day. Our personalities, our love, and the beauty of Sedona shine through in the photos. Our wedding photos are exactly what we had hoped they would be!
