3 Best Sunset in Sedona Locations

3 Best Sunset in Sedona Locations

Saaty Photography: 3 Best Sunset in Sedona Locations. The beautiful town of Sedona is not only known for its great hiking trails and red rock scenery, but also for its stunning sunsets. Here are the three best places to watch the sunset in Sedona.

#1 Courthouse Vista

The first place to watch the sunset is the Courthouse Vista. This area offers stunning rock formations and great hiking trails. You can hike to the summit of baby bell rock and enjoy the sunset with a breathtaking 360 degree view, overlooking the area. It is a short and comparatively easy hike that is a great late evening activity. From the top you can also see the Courthouse Butte and other famous beautiful red rock formations.

#2 Airport Mesa

Known for its amazing hiking trails, the Airport Mesa is another great place to watch the sunset. The best location is the little Airport Vortex hill. This is a beautiful spot to hike to and enjoy the sunset. The parking spaces are limited so beware, but there is another big parking lot about half a mile away. You can also hike around the Airport Mesa Loop trail which leads you around Tabletop Mountain. From the top of the Airport Vortex hill, Sedona is laid out in front of you. The views are amazing and Arizona sunsets never disappoint. Feel the warm sunlight on your skin and enjoy a moment of peace.

#3 Schnebly Hill

Last, but not least, Schnebly Hill. Named after Sedona Schnebly, this area has one of the most impressive views of the valley. Compared to the other locations, the hikes here are much more challenging. The Munds Wagon Trail, for example, is 8.5 miles long and has an elevation gain of 1000 feet. When the sun sets behind the pine forest the effort will definitely have paid off. You can also drive along the Schnebly Hill Road which offers beautiful scenery to the top. Just keep in mind that it is closed during the winter.

Whichever location you choose, you will have a magical evening and a sunset you will not forget. When the sky turns red, orange and purple, the last sun rays hit your skin and your eyes are greeted by the breathtaking red rock scenery, you will be able to forget your worries for a second and adore this moment in life. This time of day also makes a great opportunity to snap some beautiful pictures!

Words can not express how thankful and happy we are that we chose Monica to capture our perfect day. She made us feel both comfortable and confident in the whole process. She has this ease that makes you feel you’ve known her for years. Her kindness, personality, and professionalism was beyond what we could have hoped for. Her communication and organization was so impressive as well (I am far from organized)! Our photos are AMAZING, they are perfect. We wish we could do it all over again, and again. Seriously, book her right now! Best choice we could have made, and she helped make our day so wonderfully memorable and way less stressful.
