Northern Arizona University Research: Publications during my work at the Northern Arizona University IDEA Lab. The university’s centralized research support lab, formerly known as the Bilby Research Center, is making its image library available to faculty and staff for use on websites and in NAU publications. The newly named Imaging, Design, Editing and Administrative Support Lab, or IDEA Lab, has more than 400 images available for free for NAU-related purposes, and requests that the lab be credited when possible.
IDEA Lab has been providing centralized support services to researchers in all disciplines at NAU since 1981. Services include specialized, award-winning imaging (in-studio, on-location, and advanced custom photographic services; videography; and custom graphics), web design, and professional editing. Imaging services can translate research for publication, but have also been used as an integral part of research programs, as in the use of images for counting bacterial growth, custom high-speed imaging for capturing extremely rapid animal movements, or development of new multi-spectral imaging techniques to make it possible to read ancient papyrus texts.
